Maine Gamers is looking for a volunteer video game blogger. We are looking for someone who keeps up with Video Game news and can product ~3 posts a week about various video game related news. This person needs to be familiar with WordPress and some html/css experience preferred. Posts will range from news, commentary and reviews of new and older games.

There is no money for this position however we can offer hosting of your own site and email under mainegamers.com.

I have just recently started playing both these games and can’t wait for a squeal to them.

While EA and DICE remain coy about Mirror’s Edge 2, a sequel seems all but inevitable.

In an interview with IGN, DICE executive producer Patrick Bach continued EA’s (as well as DICE’s) pro-Mirror’s Edge 2 messaging, staring that Mirror’s Edge is a property “we love, and of course we haven’t killed it, because it’s too good to kill.” This also applies to Battlefield: Bad Company 3.

What ever happened to getting a new game every few years? I guess this is better because we don’t need to drop $59.99 all at once but instead we pay $59.99 + $14.99 every few months for more DLC.

EA has officially confirmed the existence of the Battlefield 3: Premium Edition stating that it will be available this September.

The Premium Edition contains a copy of Battlefield 3 along with a subscription to Battlefield Premium, which grants you free access to every piece of DLC that comes out for the game. It will be available September 11 in the U.S. and September 14 in Europe for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, priced at $69.99.

You can check out some of the great content that the Premium Edition entitles you to in the trailer below, there’s also some new gameplay footage of Battlefield 3‘s next DLC pack, Armored Kill.

It has been a while since we have had a dedicated site but we are back! No more facebook, just our own site with discussion forums to boot! Does anyone even say that anymore?

My question to the community is what do you want to see from Maine Gamers? I know everyone wants a LAN party but no one is offering a location, Portland? Bangor? some place in between? I have all the equipment for a LAN and I know there are some others that do too. For me it comes down to the cost of renting a place to do it.
