You may have heard of the popular indie game Slender: The Eight Pages, based on the Slenderman Creepy Pasta stories. It quickly gained popularity last year on account of the fear and loneliness that Slenderman stories are often loaded with, perfectly slipped into video-game form. Slender: The Arrival is a followup project with much higher production value compared to the previous game. It’s also going to cost money, but just watching the trailer reveals why – it contains much more than the previous one. Check out the trailer below, or follow the link below for more information.

This is a personal favorite of mine, since Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls are two of my favorite games to ever exist!

Dark Souls 2 'Debut Trailer' – VGA 2012 by soapgoat

Apparently the story revolves around a new character as well as a brand new storyline. From Software reassured us the game will be the good old hard as sh*t game we all know and love. They also mentioned that the multiplayer will be server-based this time around. Excellent!

More on Dark Souls II when the time arises.

Following a leak, 343i and Microsoft have released more details about Halo 4’s first map pack, including footage of the maps themselves and a release date. The Crimson Map Pack holds three maps for us to kill each other to death on.

The first, Shatter, is a large symmetrical map designed for big team games. It’s perfect for vehicle combat, dominion, and a new to matchmaking gametype, extraction.

Harvest is a small to mid sized map ideal for slayer and objective games, especially Capture the Flag.

The final one, Wreckage, is a medium, asymmetrical frag fest great for King of the Hill, Oddball, and Capture the Flag.

The Crimson Map Pack is the first release for the $25 season pass out of three releases. It will cost $10, but will be free for season pass holders and limited edition owners. Look forward to landing some familiar headshots in unfamiliar territory on December 10th, 2012. Also, check for info on the Majestic Map Pack and the Castle Map Pack in February and April, respectively.

The next upcoming downloadable add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim hits the Xbox Live marketplace next week on December 4th, 2012. For the price of $20, Dragonborn will bring players back to Solsthiem, a nordic island that was once ruled by another Dragonborn. Players of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind will recognize this, as the Bloodmoon expansion also took place here. Items that are revealed in the trailer range from new weapons like Spears to new armors like Chitin, a material common in Morrowind. Expect new enemies, quests, story branches, and even a rumored dragon mount for you to fly. Fans new and old should be excited to get to explore the island once again. Look for Dragonborn, exclusive to the Xbox Live marketplace next week.
